2019 SEASON WRAP UP

2019, what a roller coaster of a season filled with many highs and lows, with one of the highlights being our tour to Durban where we had the honour of playing College Rovers at the “Shark Tank” as a curtain raiser for the Super Rugby clash between the Sharks and the Blues.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you the family members of all involved at Unimil, players, coaches, managers, physios and committee for your sacrifice, hard work and commitment to the club this year, with a special word on thanks going out to you our loyal supports who we look forward to seeing again soon at Theo Marais Park when our 2020 season kicks off! Please keep a look out on this website and our social media platforms for the fixtures?

Well done to all teams as yet again this season we have cemented and made our presence felt in SLA with all our teams finishing in the top 10, the U20, 3rds & 2nds finishing in 8^thplace and the 1^stfinishing in 5^thplace.

As we gear our thoughts towards the 2020 season, I leave you with this saying by Chuck Noll head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers from 1969-1991, his statement is as follows:

“Champions are champions not because they do anything extraordinary but because they do the ordinary things better than anyone else.”
